Joe Cates joined Arthur, Chapman, Kettering, Smetak & Pikala, P.A. as an associate in 2007 and concentrates his practice in the area of construction law.  After graduating from St. John's University with a degree in English, Joe worked for a construction company specializing in residential remodeling.  This experience provided him with solid, first-hand knowledge of the interworkings of the construction industry. Today, Joe uses this inside insight to more efficiently manage his construction files.

Joe is an experienced and enthusiastic outdoorsman and spends much of his free time in the woods or on the lakes of northern Minnesota .
